Lonely Crowds by Stephanie Wambugu

The Nonexistent Knight & The Cloven Viscount by Italo Calvino
I originally checked this book out of the library and then ended up buying a copy so that I could lend it to other people. It's so fascinating; the author has a really unique perspective on technology. Did you know Japanese researchers once made a computer out of CRABS? (it didn't hurt the crabs) If you think that's neat you should read this book. 10/10
Studs Terkel's "Working" crossed with "Alien." Short, horny, horrifying at the end. Good October read. 10/10
I didn't finish this book to be honest. I read like 3/4 of the way through and then it felt like all of the plot's momentum vanished so I flipped to the end and then gave up. There are some cool ideas in here but in my opinion the author could have dialed back the academia in-jokes by a lot and then it would have been better. 6.5/10
